Publishing

Publish drafts, pause intake, and roll back safely.

Publication copies a saved draft revision into the live slot. It never edits content — it only decides which saved revision visitors see.

Publish, pause, roll back

Publish the reviewed draft

In Page → #publication-actions, choose Publish with the current draft revision number. The call is revision-checked: if someone saved a newer draft first, reload and retry instead of overwriting.

Pause when you need to stop intake

Choose Pause. The status becomes Paused, hosted/embed/domain stops accepting signups, and existing data stays queryable.

Roll back a bad publish

Choose Rollback to restore the previous published revision. Draft edits you saved after the bad publish remain as drafts — they are not lost.

Publish is atomic

Publish, pause, and rollback use conditional writes on status and revision. Stale clicks fail safely with “Reload and try again” instead of publishing the wrong version.

What goes live

  • publishedRevision and publishedTemplateRevision point at the now-live snapshot.
  • Hosted /w/slug, embed widget, and Ready custom domain all serve that same revision.
  • Overview readiness flips to Published page when templateRevision equals publishedTemplateRevision and the snapshot validates.

If readiness says Publish your latest changes, you saved edits after the last publish. Publish again to make them live.
