Custom domains

Serve a published waitlist from a domain you own.

Custom domains serve the same published revision as the hosted /w/slug page. They do not create a separate copy.

Add your domain

Open Custom domain

Go to Waitlist settings → Custom domain. Owners and admins can manage this connection; members can view status.

Enter your hostname

Type the exact hostname, such as join.example.com. Subdomains are recommended over apex domains.

Copy the DNS records shown

Add the exact type, name, and value from the app to your DNS provider. Do not use a generic hardcoded target — use what the app shows for your hostname.

Availability depends on deployment setup

If the panel says custom domains are unavailable, the deployment lacks a domain provider (VERCEL_TOKEN, VERCEL_PROJECT_ID, APP_ROOT_DOMAIN). The Waitlyze hosted page still works after publication.

Verify DNS and ownership

Check again after propagation

Choose Check again. DNS and certificates can take minutes to hours.

Keep the waitlist published

A Ready domain with a draft or paused waitlist still accepts no signups. See Publishing.

Remove a domain

Removing the connection stops serving through it. It does not delete the waitlist or its Waitlyze hosted page. Overview readiness drops the domain check once removed.
